Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, schedule and place all of Pittsburgh City Paper’s full suite of owned and operated digital products
- Create and coordinate all paid email blasts through Mailchimp
- Coordinate, schedule and place all of Pittsburgh City Paper’s Studio H sponsored content articles and national sponsored content articles
- Schedule social media mentions for advertising through Hootsuite in coordination with the Editorial Coordinator’s scheduling
- Manage the contesting & interactive content platform, Second Street for the advertising team
- Manage ‘Best of PGH’ ballot (and other contests) via Second Street (high volume March – October)
- Coordinate the full suite of digital advertising services for the sales team with ad placement schedule. Monitor and manage all calendars for digital advertising (web, email and social)
- Assist sales representatives in working with digital fulfillment agency for extended reach campaigns
- Manage Google Ad Manager platform for sales and marketing departments focused on uploading, tracking and reporting on all digital ads for pghcitypaper.com
- Work with web developers at our CMS, Foundation, on changes to the website including but not limited to new pages, general clean up, etc.
Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, advertising, sales, public relations, or digital media
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Multitasking: The ability to identify important tasks and balance speed and quality while under stress
- Technical skills: Knowledge of web and social media analytics, programming languages like basic HTML and CSS, and design tools like Mailchimp/Canva/etc.
- Other skills: Creativity, artistic ability, an eye for detail, and strong organizational skills
