  • Pittsburgh City Paper remains committed to being a free service, both in print and online, for all of our readers. We do not require registration to view any content on Pittsburgh City Paper's site. However, readers can voluntarily sign up for a free account on the top right page of our homepage to save articles, place free event listings, and to sign up for our newsletters. When signing up for an account on City Paper or for one of our newsletters, we may ask for information including name, email, and address.

  • City Paper uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service offered by Google, to track and report individual information about our website traffic. This information may include, but is not limited to, age, location, gender, how much time a user spends on our site, how many times a user returns, and how many pages a user views in one session.     Pittsburgh City Paper turned off web comments in 2020, the result of a limited staff being available to monitor a comment section which was largely full of hateful comments from online trolls. The decision was not to silence reader responses, we just don't have time to deal with transphobic, racist posts. We welcome readers to send letters to the editor instead:
