Advertising Policies

CASH IN ADVANCE is required for all advertisers without approved credit by Pittsburgh City Paper. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.

The 4x, 8x & 13x frequency rates only apply if the contract is completed in consecutive weeks according to term. 26x & 39x frequency rates only apply if the contract is completed within 52 weeks according to terms. A 10% non-frequency rate adjustment will be applied to the gross cost of any advertisements placed that do not adhere to the frequency discount contract terms outlined above.

Registered not-for-profit organizations will receive the 26x contract rate net, for all insertions, regardless if material is received by City Paper camera-ready.

The publication of any advertisement is subject to the approval of the Publisher who reserves the right to reject, edit for content or omit any advertising for any reason at any time. The liability of Pittsburgh City Paper for any error for which it might be held legally responsible will not exceed the cost of the space ordered or occupied by the error.

Pittsburgh City Paper reserves the right to revise its advertising rates and discounts at any time upon 30 days written notice to advertisers.

For advertisers with approved credit, bills are due and payable at net 30 days. An interest charge of 1.5% per month will be added to accounts delinquent past 30 days.

Liability

Advertiser shall assume responsibility and liability for all content (including pictorial representations and graphic artwork) of advertisements placed by advertiser in the Pittsburgh City Paper and shall assume full responsibility for any claims arising there from or made against Pittsburgh City Paper, its officers, agents and employees.

Advertiser agrees to indemnify and hold Pittsburgh City Paper harmless from any and all expenses or losses, including, but not limited to, attorney's fees and legal judgements incurred by Pittsburgh City Paper by reason of any and all claims arising out of publication of any advertisement placed by advertiser.
